We Are COPPA Compliant

Plush Power is designed for families with children. We fully comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

We never collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verified parental consent. All accounts are created and managed by parents.


What We Collect

From Parents: Email address, family name, a monthly $3 payment to verify your account. Payment is processed securely by Stripe — we never store card details unless you select auto-renew.

From Child Profiles: First name, age, avatar emoji, favorite toy category, and toy reviews/inventions submitted through the parent's account.

We do NOT collect: Children's last names, photos of children, school information, location data, or any contact details from children.


How We Use Your Data

We use your data only to operate Plush Power:

  • Display kid-written toy reviews to other families
  • Track gamification progress (XP, badges, leaderboard)
  • Verify your family account status
  • AI-moderate reviews to keep content child-safe

We never sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.


Who Can See What

Public: Child's first name, avatar, age, toy reviews, and invention ideas (after AI moderation approval).

Private (parents only): Email address, payment records, full child profile details, parental control settings.

Reviews submitted by children are AI-moderated before being published to ensure they contain no personal information.


How We Protect Data

  • All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
  • Payments are handled entirely by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant)
  • AI moderation screens all child-generated content before publishing
  • We do not use third-party advertising trackers or analytics SDKs
  • Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only


Your Rights & Data Deletion

As a parent, you have the right to:

  • Access all data we hold about your family
  • Correct inaccurate information at any time
  • Delete your family account and all associated data
  • Withdraw consent and request we stop processing your data

To exercise any of these rights, email us and we will respond within 30 days.
